The service
RobustPCB provides engineering calculators, with an optional account for saving your work. It is a design aid. It does not certify or qualify any design, and it does not replace the standards it cites or engineering judgement. The disclaimer is part of these terms.
Using it
You can use the calculators for commercial and non-commercial work, with no usage limit. You can use the results in your designs and documents, and we claim no rights over your designs. Please do not disrupt the service, bypass its access controls, access other people's data or store unlawful content. Heavy automated use may be rate limited.
Accounts
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Use an accurate email address.
- One person per account.
- You can close your account at any time. We may suspend an account used to abuse the service.
Your content
Your saved calculations, projects and notes remain yours. We store and process them only to run the service, never to train anything, and we do not share them. You can export them at any time.
Signed reports and review packs
A signed report or design review pack is tamper-evident: its verification code confirms the document is unchanged since it was issued. It is not cryptographically signed by a certificate authority and is not a qualified electronic signature. It does not certify compliance with any standard, and it does not replace design qualification or type testing.
Our content
The text, equations, explanations and software on this site are protected by copyright. Cited standards belong to their standards bodies, and RobustPCB is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
Availability
Features may change over time. If the service ever closes, account holders get reasonable notice and time to export their work.
Warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, RobustPCB is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, lost data or the cost of remediation, arising from use of the service, including any design decision based on its results. Verifying a result before it reaches hardware is the engineer's responsibility.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
Paid plans
Every calculator, equation and explanation is free for ever, with no account. A paid plan adds the work around the calculators: more saving, analysis tools, fuller exports, signed reports and design review packs. Plans and prices are on the pricing page.
Card payment is coming soon. Refund terms, including the 14-day cancellation right of UK and EEA consumers, will be published here before it opens.
Payments are taken by our payment provider as merchant of record. Its terms and privacy policy cover the checkout, card details, invoice and tax, and we never see your full card number. RobustPCB remains responsible for the service you buy.
A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the price then shown, until cancelled. You can cancel at any time with the link in your receipt email, or by writing to us. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for.
If you stop paying, nothing is deleted and nothing is locked. Your work stays editable and exportable, and the free limits on the pricing page apply to anything new you add. Signed reports and design review packs you issued keep verifying while your account exists.
A new account gets 3 days of Pro, with no card. When the trial ends, the account continues on the free plan, and nothing is charged.
Changes
When these terms change, the date at the top changes. Account holders are emailed about material changes before they take effect. Using the service afterwards means accepting them.
