In short
- Calculations run in your browser. What you type reaches us only if you save it to an account or send it to us.
- We count page views as daily totals, with no cookie and no identifier.
- An account is optional.
- No advertising, and no third-party analytics or tracking. We never sell your data.
On your device
Your inputs are kept in the page address, so a link reproduces the calculation. Anyone you send a link to sees those values.
Your browser keeps your theme and display settings, a copy of pages for offline use, your sign-in, the work you save here, and your board and fab profiles. It also keeps the inputs and headline answer of your last 50 calculations, how often and for how long you use each calculator, and your favourites, for the Recent and Favourites lists.
To clear the recent list, use “Clear recent” in Your work. Turning off “Remember what I open on this device” clears it and stops keeping it. Clearing your browser data removes everything.
None of this is sent to us, except the work you save, which joins your account when you sign in, and, while you are signed in, your theme and the project you last saved to.
Page counts
When you leave a page, a daily total for that page goes up by one. It records the page name, whether you were signed in, and a rough reading time. There is no record of your visit, and the page address, which carries your numbers, is never sent. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, nothing is counted.
Your account
An account holds your email address, a username, your password (which we never see), an optional name and company, your saved projects and calculations, and your display preferences (theme, last project used). Your saved work is visible only to you. If you sign in with Google or GitHub, that provider shares your email address and, if available, your name.
Product events
When the site shows you a locked feature or a limit you have reached, or you press an upgrade or checkout button, we record the event, which feature, limit or plan it concerned, where it happened and when, with your account id if you are signed in. Nothing you type into a calculator is recorded. We use this to improve the product.
Offers
If we offer you free months of a paid plan, we record the offer and whether you used or dismissed it, so you are not shown it twice. Offers are chosen from your plan status and saved work, or by an administrator for a single account, never from what you browse. A code that does not work is noted for security and deleted within 2 months.
Account email, such as confirmations, password resets and receipts, is part of the service.
Email about the paid plan and new calculators is sent only if you ask for it, and only to an address that has been confirmed. You can ask at sign-up, with a box that is never ticked for you, or in Profile & settings. You can stop it there at any time, or with the link in every such message: one press of a button, with no sign-in needed.
We keep a record of which messages we sent you, and whether each was delivered. There is no open tracking and no click tracking. If you unsubscribe, mark a message as spam, or your address does not exist, we keep that fact so that no further email is sent to it.
Paid plans
When you buy a plan, our payment provider takes the payment as merchant of record, in its own checkout and under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your full card number, and nothing we hold can be used to take a payment.
We keep your subscription record (plan, billing period, seats, status, renewal date and the provider's reference numbers) and the provider's messages about it, which can include payment and billing details such as your card's brand and last four digits, your name and your billing address. Only administrators can see them, and only to manage your plan or answer a question about a payment.
Reports, packs and messages
A signed report or design review pack is a document you choose to share. Anyone with its code can see the details printed on it, and you can withdraw it at any time.
A problem report keeps your message and the page and calculator it concerns, with no name or email address. A consulting request keeps what you enter, including your email address. We use them only to reply.
Who helps us
Trusted service providers host the site, store accounts and saved work, and deliver email. Our payment provider handles payments. They act on our instructions and only for these purposes. Opening any page shares your IP address and browser details with our hosting providers, who keep standard technical logs to run the service. Your data may be processed outside your country, with the safeguards the law requires. Ask us and we will tell you who a provider is.

Deleting your account removes your data at once, except for a few records, each kept only as the table says: a record of the deletion; your unsubscribe or bounce status, so no further email is sent; your email preferences and the record of email sent to your address; and the payment provider's messages, so a disputed charge can still be traced.
Your rights
- See and download: Profile & settings gives you one file with your account, saved work, reports and packs, email history and offers, at any time. For product events and the payment provider's messages, which are kept separately, ask us.
- Correct: edit your details in the same place. To change the email address you sign in with, write to us.
- Delete: item by item, or the whole account.
- Restrict or object: write to us.
- Complain: write to us, or contact your data protection authority.
Legal basis
Your account, saved work and any paid plan are provided under our contract with you. Email about the paid plan and new calculators rests on consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Everything else rests on our legitimate interest in running, securing and improving the service, making offers and answering your messages. Nothing is stored on your device for a purpose you did not ask for, so there is no cookie banner.
Children and changes
RobustPCB is a professional tool, not intended for anyone under 16. When this page changes, the date at the top changes, and account holders are emailed about material changes first.
